ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Log-in Driver Failure

Babette

I have been using Earthlink Total Access emailbox and my operating system
is Windows 98.
When I try to open my email, I get an error message window that says:
"Too many active users" (I am the only one using this computer at home). When
I click "OK" (the other choice button is "cancel"), another window comes up
asking for log-in information. Already typed in for "Log-in" is the word
"admin". The next box asks for a password. I have no idea what to do next, or
how to free up my mailbox.
For more than 3 months I have only been able to access my email thru
webmail.
any help is greatly appreciated! thanks

Hi,
after spending 4 hours on the phone with an earthlink tech supervisor, I was
told that microsoft was the one to help me with this! I'm lost and have no
idea where to turn. I'll go back to earthlink, as you suggest, but don't
feel at all hopeful that they can help. . . thanks anyway

Even though this has nothing at all to do with Access databases, I'll try to
help. I had some serious issues with Earthlink as a webhost so even though
they were my provider for more than 10 years, I finally dumped them for
another hosting company.

First, we should establish if your browser is OK. Open a hotmail account, if
you can.

http://www.hotmail.com

It is free and you will have a backup email account. Use an easy username
and password so you won't have problems. If you can get to your account,
post back here and I'll send you an email at that address. Be sure not to
post your address in a method that is easily readable, just use the prefix
(before the @ symbol) and I'll know how to email you.
