ODBC Time out when open a table

The table I would like to open is a linked table, and when
I try to open the table, I am getting the error 'ODBC Time
out'. Where as I am able to open other tables within the
database, which has same number of records. (Access97)

Could you please explain what do I have to do here? In
queries and sp's or Views, I would go to properties and
increase the ODBC time out value, where as in tables I do
not see a field to increase the timeout.

Any help would be appreciated.
