odbc with Oracle

Hi Everyone,

I have visual basic .Net on my win2000 pc and when I'm trying to make a odbc
connection with Oracle it says that my version is not suited for that. Is
there something I can install to correct this problem?

You need to have installed at least the Oracle networking client to make an
Oracle ODBC connection, and when you do so I would recommend installing the
Oracle ODBC driver as well, it seems to work better than the MS Oracle driver
in my experience. You do not need to install Oracle SQLPlus etc if you only
need ODBC, so if you use the custom install and select just the ODBC driver it
will automatically add everything else that you need.
