Odd little "Save as" error

Getting an error stating

"FrontPage cannot give a document the same name as an open
document."

when I try to save a file with the same name. Of course the file is
not in fact open. What I'm doing is :

1) Open said file.
2) Copy relative HTML
3) Open template
4) Paste relative HTML
5) Close original file
6) File, Save as ... for the template

Any recommendations appreciated.

Also note that this error occurs even if I delete the original
file prior to attempting to save the new file with the name of the
deleted file.
