I have encountered strange behavior in Outlook 2002 and
Word 2002 on a laptop configured with Japanese support.
When the user is typing an email in Word (through
Microsoft Outlook 2002), random text phrases begin to
automatically be inserted into the document at the
position of the cursor. It happens in both the message
body and in the address fields (To, CC). Before the text
is inserted, a small ellipsis appears where the text will
be inserted next; as soon as the ellipsis goes away, the
text is inserted. The virus definitions are up-to-date,
all files have been scanned. The laptop is running Win2K
SP4 with all critical updates installed. Microsoft Office
is completely up-to-date. Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks in advance.
