OE 2003 freezing

Greetings all,

Recently I have been having a freezing problem with OE 03, I will
send/receive get my new mail and than click on a new mail the system will
hang, I have to do task manager to end task, start it up again, it may take
several tries before I can use OE.

Any ideas, should I do a fresh install?

Also is there anyway to backup the emails and addresses I have in OE?

There's no such thing as "OE 2003". If you mean Outlook 2003, check your
add ons and make sure that your anti virus isn't scanning your email.

yes my mistake it is only outlook
and AVG does scan my emails.
just seems slower than normal.
