off page reference

I need to display text with the off-page reference that points back to the
sheet of the linked off page reference.i.e.. on sheet one I have a reference
to sheet 2. I need to add text to each shape to indicate which page the
other shape is on. This is needed for printed documents so the reader can
find the associated refference.

On the shape on page 1, put the shape into text edit mode by selecting
the shape and clicking the Text button, then
menu Insert -> Field
select Page -> Page number

Thank you Paul. That got me half the way there. I now need the text on page
1 to read page 2. I need the text on page 1 to read "SHT 2 ZONE D8" AND THE
TEXT ON PAGE 2 TO READ "SHT 1 ZONE B3". The steps worked exactly as you
described. Does Sandrila have an electronics control package similar to
EPlan?
This is also helpful in that it exposes another feature of Visio to me that
I may use for many other uses.

That can be done, I think, but a bit more difficult. You'll need to
work out how to reference the shape and its text. You may be able to
work that out from the examples you have seen.

a quick search show a few "EPlan" hits. Which do you mean? Probably
not anyway.

I am referring to the EPlan electrical and controls CAD package
(http://www.eplan.org/

Uurgh, who designs flashing graphics on a web page like that!
I also think they ought to get someone in to look at the state of the
English used on their website.

However, I doubt my products bear much similarity, both in
functionality and in price. They don't show their prices. I don't have
salesmen! Different markets.
