Is it just me or is WebPosition not what it used to be?

It doesn't seem to support half the search engines it used to.

Why?

It seems to me that it would enable more sites to submit quickly and
efficiently, and thereby enable the search engines to provide a wider
database with more accurate results.

How so?

Search engines have their own robots for indexing site according to their
specific requirements, thus making sure that sites are indexed and included
are all based on the same guidelines.
