Off XP Won't Upgrade

I'm trying to upgrade Off XP Small Business to Off XP
Professional just, for Powerpoint, with Off Xp Pro Upgrade
cd's. When I put the Product Key in for the Pro Upgrade
it takes it and then comes back with the message Can't
find Qualifying Product and then ends the upgrade. I've
searched the Knowledge Base to no avail, hence this
request.

Thanks for any help I can get.

I have had the same problem and am thinking of taking
legal action against Microsoft. The upgrade box clearly
indicated that it would upgrade Office XP for small
business. The upgrade failed to do so. I called Microsoft
on a long distance telephone line, and was held on hold
for more than an hour, and incurred long distance phone
charges of about 30 dollars. My telehone number is (518)
372-4204.
MS sucks, and they have become too arrogant for small home
users. But, remember MS! We out-number them all.

What you are trying to do is considered a cross-grade installation, not an
upgrade. You would need to acquire the full Office XP Professional as the
upgrade disk is looking for Office 97 or Office 2000 as a qualifying
product.

Contact your OEM to see if you can purchase Office Pro and return the Office
SBE - many OEMs are happy to accomodate such requests for only a small
additional fee.

The UPGRADE BOX externally clearly states that OFFICE XP
SMALL BUSINESS is a qualifying product for the upgrade.
Microsoft has misrepresented facts and tricked me (the
consumer) into buying a faulty product. My lawyer will
have a ball suing Microsoft, the bastards.

I contacted IBM, the vendor who sold me the OFFICE XP
SMALL BUSINESS. They do not sell, or support Office XP
anymore, for good reason, I think.

So, where am I supposed to return this useless piece of
junk, called SMALL BUSINESS crap? I don't know Bill Gates'
mansions addresses, since he probably has so many.

You are a moron of the highest order. Nowhere on the XP Pro box does it list
Office SBE as a qualifying product. Sue MS? - you'd be laughed out of court!
