offce 2000 reinstallation

after a clean install my off.2000 will not download error(1680) (could not
find any previous installation products on the machine for installing this
product) another message states qualifying product, any ideas ?

You apparently have an "upgrade" version of Office 2000. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=210437 "OFF2000: Products That
Qualify for the Microsoft Office Upgrade".
