If office came from hp (preinstalled) it is OEM and hp must support it.
Microsoft will not. You will have to go back to hp for help.

Hi Jill,

The MS newsgroups are generally peer support. To contact MS about
a replacement CD, where your PC supplier has not provided you
with the ability to acquire a new CD you can call (800-360-7561
in the U.S. and let them know that the PC supplier didn't help.
Note, that MS does not have CDs available for versions older than
Office 2000.

So does MS *now* support OEM MS software and will MS provide a replacement
disk? That is not what we have been told for a number of years. Has the
policy changed and where does it say that MS will provide OEM backup support
for Office or the OS?? Inquiring minds would like to know, so we can point
people in the right direction, after they have a hard time when they call MS
and can't get replacement OEM disks or support. All the KB articles say
differently from what you just stated, can users quote you in the future?

Per this article, they do not support OEM installed software and you must
still apply to them for assistance and replacements:

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Mercury asked:
