i have been trying to access word documents saved to my laptop. a message
keeps coming up saying I need to insert a disc which has never happend
before. i do not have a disk for Office XP and now can't access my work.

Why has this happend and is there a ay round this?

Office just "does that". Maybe it's related to an upgrade that it is trying
to install. Without the Office XP disk I am afraid you are out of luck.
You should download Belarc Advisor and determine your Product Key number,
which you would then save in a safe place. Then if you can find a helpful
person to lend you the installation disk you should be alright.
