I was just editing a document in Word 2007. I selected a piece of text and
then went to the font chooser on the main ribbon menu. As the mouse
highlighted over each one, the selected text from the document changed into
that font. This is a handy new feature, but sadly the font drop-down list
was so big it covered up the text I had selected. So instead I tried
right-clicking on the text. This time I get a context-sensitive menu and
also a font choose. Another handy new feature. But this time as my mouse
moved over the different font styles, my selected text did not change to
show me what it would like :-(
Similarly I found in Excel 2007, when I highlighted an area, the Cell Styles
drop down menu from the Styles bar on the ribbon previewed each style. But
the Format as Table drop down did not. :-(
