office 08 is useless

I loaded office 08 with leopard and it is useless
firstly powerpoint does not allow it to recognise any dataprojectors
next powerpoint crashes my system
I really wanted the product to work - apparently the problem is to do with the way it handles art objects -
The only way i could open anything was to convert it to KeyNote but when I tried to export back to Office, the sytem crashed again.
Please, please please Microsoft- fix this so I can enjoy your product
