Office 2007 is still in technical beta and only available to Beta Testers
and TAP customers. Any comments, questions, suggestions should be posted to
the Office Beta site or to the private beta news groups. Invitations and
instructions for accessing each were sent to beta testers and TAP customers.
If you are not either one, no help will be given in any public news group.
Beta 2 will most likely be released later this quarter and *may* have public
news groups. Until then, unless you are a beta tester or a TAP member, no
information will be forthcoming about new features that are not listed here:

After furious head scratching, CMM asked:
| There doesn't seem to be a public ng devoted to Office 12 (am I just
| missing it?) and it's not available for MSDN subscribers (yet).... so
| I've been hesitant to send any suggestions.
|
| I just fear Office 12 will *LOOK* different on the surface (like
| Outlook 2003 did at first glance) but still have all the classic
| unintuitive dialog boxes (have you used the Envelopes and Labels dlg
| recently?.... that thing has not changes since Word 95) and dumbass
| CONFUSING and *fake* "Windows in Taskbar" SDI (which behaves
| differently between Excel and PowerPoint to boot!!!) and all the same
| Interface quirks and inconsitencies that have been completely
| unaddressed for a long time.
|
| I'm expecting big things. Not marketing crap.

|
| || Does anyone know if Excel and PowerPoint will sport a true Single
|| Document Interface (like Word does today)?
||
|| Or even better, will ALL the apps support a Tabbed Document Interface
|| (Access seems to be the only one that does based on the screenshots).
