Office 2000 / 2003 Explorer issue

Has anyone noticed that after the last round of updates for XP, that office
applications hang when attempting to open, save or attach files? (i.e. -
open explorer)

This started happening last thursday or friday in our firm and it only
happens to office 2000 or 2003 applications. The explorer functions work
normally when using other software.

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped
drives that are not currently available.

Thanks for the reply. Good call too. We have a drive that is mapped / used
only when we VPN with a partner firm and the system was indeed attempting to
connect and load this drive.

Sad that I missed that myself, being an MCSE with 8 years in the field...
