Sounds like your PC might be infected with a virus. I would make sure that both the scan engine
and definition files were current for whatever antivirus software that you are using, and then do
a complete scan of your hard drive. I suggest disabling a screen saver before starting this scan.
Also, since this scanning is very disk intensive, I'd just start the scan and go do something
else. Don't try to use your PC for other tasks while this scan is in progress.
I'd also verify that as a minimum I had a software firewall properly configured. Here is an
