Office 2000 and Office 2003 coexisting?

P

Portland Pete

I develop for clients on both Office 97 Pro and Office 2K Pro. I use
different computers networked together for each, which works well.
Now, a client is upgrading to Office 2003 Pro; is it possible to have
both 2K and 2003 on the same computer (running XP Home SP2)? I used to
have 2k and 97 on the same computer, and it was tolerable, if not
problem-free. I do understand that Office 2003 installs to a different
folder by default, so my existing Office 2k installation shouldn't be
bothered...I am concerned, however, about registry conflicts.

You are correct, however, also note that you cannot have two versions of
Outlook installed on the same machine, other apps will work fine.
