I am running Windows 2K Pro. I was told by the computer to uninstall and
reinstall Office 2000 as I could not run any of the programs. In did
"remove" Office 2000. Now I cannot get it to reinstall. I get the message
"This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package." Per
Microsoft Support, I checked the .msi files in Windows Installer and had no
Office files. I did the Installer Clean-Up - no Office files there. I have
absolutely tried everything. I am on the 8th straight day of working on it
for 14 hrs./day with no avail. Please help.
