office 2000 browsing slowness on network

T

Troy

We are experiencing a couple of users trying to browse to a file on a network
drive and it takes an extremely long time for just the browse window to
finish loading all the available files in that directory. We have disabled
the virus scan software temporarily to see if that had an effect and it did
not. We have checked macro security as well and that had no effect either.
Does anyone else have any suggestions as to the cause and/or remedy? Thanks
in advance

Check for any old mapped network drives that no-longer exist.
