office 2000 install compatible with Windows 98?

I'm unsuccessful so far installing Office 2000 STD on a Windows 98 machine.
Qny chance it will work?

Office 2000 will work with Windows 95, 98, Millenium Edition, NT 4.0 SP3 or
later, 2000, and XP.
