office 2000 installation

can i install office 2000 upgrade on my computer I only have works 2000 on
and am using xp home and can' get it to install

i run the disc enter the product key ext then it says failed to find
qualifyind product on the machine i have tried all drive in the end it just
says insert xp pro sp 2 cd even tought i'm using xp home and i've tried all
my xp discs to no avail

"Qualifying product" indicates you have an upgrade version of Office. It
wants to know what you are upgrading. Windows is not a qualifying product
for Office.
