Office 2000 Premium - qualifying components?

I have Office 2000 Premium, however, I can not install it on my new computer
because it says I don't have any qualifying components/software. My Basic
Office 2003 which came with the computer doesn't register. I need Power Point
on this computer... how do I go about it without having to re-purchase this
product when my 2000 version is all I need.

If you have an "upgrade version", then you cannot install it since
you apparently do not have an "older" version Office CD for qualification.
You would be better off purchasing PowerPoint 2003.

Office 2003 isn't a qualifying product that enables you to use the Office
2000 Premium Upgrade, which sounds like what you must have and what you must
be trying to do.

Do you recall what product you used to qualify you to install that Office
2000 Upgrade? Maybe Office 95 or 97? If you can find those install CDs, you
can just put them in the CD drive when the Office 2000 Upgrade is trying to
find a qualifying product. You don't have to actually install the older
product.
