Office 2000 Pro updates

Just got my home computer back online and am in the process of installing
updates. When I get to the Office 2000 updates and try to install them, I get
the message:
"Expected version of the product was not found on your system.
Tried finding that issue in Microsoft site, but had no luck. My computer OS
is XP, and the Office suite is Office 2000 Pro. Do I need these updates, or
can I get by without them? How do I fix the "product not found" issue?
Kaspersky is telling me I have many vulnerabilities in the suite, so do I go
ahead and keep trying to fix the problem???

So, is that version of Office actually installed on your computer?
