Office 2000 professional - need data.ms1 file - Don't have CD

P

Phxdame

I only have the CD for Office 2000 Standard yet have Office 2000 Professional
installed. Trying to upgrade to Office XP and then Office 2003. Each ask
for my data1.ms1 file, which is not on my system anywhere. Tried copying
Office 2000 Standard over to system (to fake it out...) and that didn't work
- it knew the file was for Standard.

Where can I get a copy of the Office 2000 Professional data1.ms1?

Thanks!

Why?
You just need a single version cd that is on the upgrade path.
Pop Office2003 cd in when it complains it cannot find a qualifying product,
pop one of your earlier version cd's in and point to it, take out and
continue installation.
Though,
Since you have Office2k pro installed theres no need to do anything other
than install office 2003

Assuming office2003 is an upgrade you need to keep the earlier cd's, should
you ever have to reinstall you will need them
