Office 2000 re-install

G

George A. Yorks

Had problems with microsoft office 2000 and removed it and
re-installed office 97. Now want to re-install 2000
premium but get the following message

Another version of this product is already
installed. Installation of this version cannot continue.
Is the reference being made to 97??

Also because of no 2000 when I send e-mail
get error 1706 and internal error 2905. No valid source
could be found for product microsoft offi e 2000 premium.
windows installer cannot continue.

Any ideas and any help appreciated

Hi, George,

How did you remove Office 2000? With the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs?

Depending on your configuration, you may be able to use the Windows
Installer Cleanup Utility to remove registry entries related to Office 2000,
then re-install Office 2000.
