Office 2000 requires CD

Often, but not always, Word and Excel ask for distribution CD to install some
missing file (feature) before it will open. This repeats periodically.
Running XP sp3.

Obviously, how do I fix it so I don't get dunned to insert the installation
CD every time I run Word or Excel?

Run Setup from the CD. This should present you with Office Maintenance
Mode. Choose Add or Remove Features. Choose Run all from My Computer for
the features that you need. Make sure that you do this for Word, Excel and
all the Converters and Filters and Office Tools that you use. Then press
Update Now.

It's been a while since I have run Office 2000 but I remember trying to do
this with all features from the CD and getting errors. But picking Word,
Excel and Office Tools worked fine.
