Hi:
I have a system it has a 550 Ghz Pentem 3 cpu, 512MB memery,10GB hard drive,
it's running win 2000 pro. sp4, officce 2000 premium.
The problem is that I can't upgrade to office 2000 sp1.
At first it would download but not install, error installion unsuccessful.
I didn't try to install from the fullfile.exe.
After several attempts, I tryed to uninstall office and reinstall it but it
wouldn't uninstall. Then when I did a update scan it said it couldn't because
no valled version of windows installer could be found. It directed me to use
a link to install windows installer 2.0. I followed the directions and loaded
it from the run. I got a blue screen diong a memory dump, when it fininished
it restarted the system. I tryed the scan again as it told me to. With the
same results execpt this time it told me to download the installer2.0 to the
disk and run it from there, I did and no help.
I tryed adding the installer cleanup exe, first by copying it to the system
when running it it wouldn't run, Then I tryed downloading it and installing
to no help it couldn't find specfied files.
With out reformating The drive and starting over again what can I do.
HELP. I can use any help you can give me.
