Office 2000 SP3 Installation Problem

I downloaded the following file: O2kSp3.exe. When I try to run it I
get the following error message: "The expected version of the product
was not found on your system."

Any ideas what I have to do to get SP3 loaded?

I got this same message when I tried reinstalling it. I found that my msi
installer was damaged... Also, I have multiple components office 2000 / 2003
installed on the same system. Do you have this same setup?

I have Office 2000 and Office 2002 on my machine.

I saw something about having to download Sp1a first. That will take me
a long time to download. So I'm trying to see if I can avoid that
download.

What did you do to get around this?

You can't. You MUST apply SR-1a for Office 2000 before you can
apply SP3 for Office 2000. But you don't have to apply SP2 for
Office 2000 because it is included in SP3.

Thanks for the info. I downloaded SR-1a last night. It took almost
two hours, loaded it and then ran the SP3 update.

Thanks again.
