"ignore" and proceeded. If I run into problems later, I'll follow your
suggestion. I assume that none of my Outlook information will disappear
(i.e., addresses, messages, etc.).

In general, you will not lose any data such as email or addresses, but
it's best to have a backup anyway - even if you are not planning to
uninstall/re-install anything!
