Office 2000: "This Package Could Not Be Opened."

Had a registry crash, restored it, but now no Office 2000
files will work. When I click on a program icon, I
get "This patch package could not be opened. Contact the
application vendor to verify that it is a valid Windows
Installer patch package."

I can't Repair, I can't Reinstall, I can't Remove, and I
can't read any of my files!!

Actually, reinstalling all the Windows 2K patches fixed it.
