Office 2000 Updates

I just reinstalled Office 2000 and discovered that the automatic updates
don't work anymore since it is not supported.

OK- the best I can figure from reading about this is that I need to install
SR-1, SR-1a, SR-2, SR-3 and then the subsequent updates. Do I have this
right?

Yes, you will need to install the service packs but read each one starting with SP-3 to see if it is cumulative. Office Online should have them all as well as the Microsoft Download Center. You can also burn them to a CD to avoid having to download again if you need to reinstall your OS.
