Prob' an old one but....
I'm trying to install Office 2000 Standard - upgrade
version. Installation always defaults to the CD-ROM
directory that Office is installing from. I can change the
location manually to my hard drive (C
, but it still
crashes out with the message "the highlighted volumes do
not have enough disk space available for the currently
selected features" and it lists D: (my CD-ROM) as needing
32KB.
I have tried both the solutions from Knowledge Base
articles 243906 and 217585 but neither solves the problem.
I used to run two hard drives in this machine and Office
was installed on the slave drive (that would have been D
which was the original master drive from my old machine,
with Win 98 still installed on it. I just used to run the
programs from the D: drive when I wanted them and ignore
windows - most were happy with this. Office ran fine then,
but I have now removed that drive and sold it. Is install
still looking for the old drive and how can I get around
that if so?
Any ideas, folks?
