I use Microsoft Office 2000. Recently I cannot open Word. The firs
screen comes up then it freezes my computer and I have to reboot.
have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Office program as well a
the Repair option. I have even gone so far as to delete the Offic
links in the registry under Local User and Local Machine. I the
reinstalled the program. After that the Word program opened bu
immediately said that some registry information was missing and the
closed the program. The Microsoft Support center said when thi
happens to run the Repair Option which I did to no avail. I have als
renamed the Product ID in the registry as one of the other Microsof
Support documents suggest. So far nothing has worked. All the othe
programs Excell Access and Power Point all work. I have reinstalled m
original Registry so now I'm back to the program freezing the compute
when I try to open Word. Does anyone have any suggestions
