Office 2000

I am using Office 2000 with WinXP. When I launch either
word, or excel, they launch really slow. It sometimes
takes a long time to come up. Is there anything I can do
to remedy this?

have journaling enabled in Outlook, disable it.

Try disabling the antivirus application for word within
your antivirus program.
