Office 2000

We installed Office 2000 on a new machine with Vista on it and when you try
to open any of the programs, ie Excel, Outlook, etc., it asks for the
Certificate of Authenticity code. When you put the code in which came with
the CD, it says it's not a valid code. Also, the programs Excel, Outlook,
Word, etc., say 2003. Does this make sense to anyone? Thanks.

Perhaps you have trial edition of Office 2003 installed?, which you should
have uninstalled prior to attempting to install any earlier version.

I dont believe Office2k is fully compatible with Vista
