Unfortunately Office 2000 is no longer available. The best you can hope for
is a used copy on eBay. (I wouldn't recommend buying software eBay path but
some people tell you it's fine. I'd rather swim with hungry alligators.)

Surely there's no problem if the OP has a legitimate key?

It's not a matter of the product key. Profitting from bootleg software is
still theft. that's assuming you ever get anything in the mail from the
seller. Have you ever looked at any of the software listings in eBay? Like I
said, swimming with alligators would be a better option for me. Toss in a
couple of snakes while you're at it - still safer.

I always thought that it's the Licence you pay for, not the CD....so if the
OP has paid for his licence, the fact that he buys (or even copies) a CD
from someone else is not theft as he's already paid for his licence. (I've
bought perfectly legit software on Ebay... )

buyer.

Ah. Yes, that's the thing, isn't it?

JoAnn is right. I had my original MS Office2000 Premium 3 CD set for sale on EBay with the license. I pulled the add after I saw that people were buying other W2K office suites but not mine. I enquired from a few sellers on what exactly they were selling. Each and everyone said it was a W2K Office CD but not the original. The prices reflected the same. And which was a copy of the suite was selling as an example for $50 and mine which was the original with a license was too expensive for them. So I am sitting on it and it will probably grow old like me eventually. A copied CD can be anything and buying this type of W2K Office is playing with fire

In addition to what everyone else is saying, having a license for Office
2000 won't help you if you purchase the wrong version of Office from ebay or
any other source. You will need the same version, Small business, pro, etc.
Check with friends to see if they have a copy that matches your license. If
so you can copy the CD but can't share the license. I have a set of Office
2000 cds but right now don't have access to them. What exact version do you
need?

Also, posting your real email address as you have apparently done is asking
for much spam to be promptly delivered into your email box. Always use a
fake address or use unusual characters in it to keep the spam bots from
reading the address.
