Office 2003/ 2000

I have a legit version of xp on my new laptop, and a legit version of office
2003 academic.

I have a legit version of xp on my main computer and a legit version of
office 2000 small business.

I want to install office 2003 on the main computer ( the box says I can put
it on 3 home pcs) so I can keep my work files exclusively on the laptop, but
use the main computer to update the files at home, using wireless connection
to the laptop.

So my questions are:

1) will I need to uninstall office 2000 first?

2) will office 2003 file sharing between the two work ok with this setup?

1) Office2003 will offer to remove the earlier version, though it will leave
any O2k components not included in your version of O2003
2) You can share files across the network
