office 2003 & Access 2003 setup problems

I have a registered copy of Office 2003 Standard
installed on my laptop and have purchased a copy of
Access 2003 (upgrade).
When i com to install it it cannot find Office,, so I
have followed the instructions as per the CD and also as
per MS Knowledge base, but it still refuses to find
office anywhere and shuts its down....please help.

Rerun setup and when it promps "cannot find Office" pop in your prior
version cd. The installer will find it, then reinsert your Access disk,
complete your install from there.
