office 2003 and ultimate office 2007

I have XP, I recently downloaded, through school, Ultimate Office 2007.
Should I DELETE Office 2003 and all its parts and just run Office 2007-
(would this then remove the lag my computer is now suffering from). I was
never given a option to override older versions.

Uninstalling an earlier version is unlikely to impact on sys performance.

You dont, or very rarely, simply delete an application or its folders you
use the uninstall process

I suspect the "lag" you are experiencing is a result of using Office
2007 instead of Office 2003, not the additional disk space being used.
There is a noticeable difference between the two.

I suspect the lag you are encountering is due to your hardware/resources. If
you only meet (instead of exceed) the requirements listed here then that
explains why:

For example if you only have 256 MB RAM then the Office 2007 apps will run
but it's more like a slow crawl than actually running. ;-)
