Office 2003 and Windows 7

I just got a new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. Before I bought I was told
that it would run Office 2003.

Indeed, Office 2003 (SP3) seems to work fine, but I have noticed some long
response times from Outlook. I checked with Dell whose Technical team say
that Office 2003 won't run on W 7 64.

As I seem to have no problems, does that mean that I haven't yet tested the
limits of how well it will run? What is your experience?

Second, as W7 seems to be incompatible with my scanner, and Ipswitch FTP, am
I better advised to embrace W7 and pay for new apps and periphs, or to be a
Luddite, delete W7 and load XP?

Thanks.

Mike

Try moving your Outlook .pst file to a different partition than the one
Win 7 is on.
