there is a unique freeware
called siw and can be
downloaded from here:
http://www.gtopala.com/
with it you will see a variety
of spec's, some highly obscure
and concealed deep inside windows.
you can also produce a hardcopy
via its printing option.
my suggestion is that if you choose
to print your pc's spec's, then delete
the file on the disk afterwards or
encrypt it.
keep in mind that by printing
your pc's unique data you are
creating a "fingerprint of your system"
and confidential data and files like
these are highly valuable and sought after.
a good feature with siw is that you can
run it without being connected to the internet.
another good feature is that it
will not produce a hardcopy "unless you
specify".
i have spoken with gabriel on
numerous occassions on his software
and i consider him to be a humble genius.
however, there is always a constant
threat that some other freeware
will get installed for a specific purpose
or for entertainment.
malicious softwares like these may advertise
to do something in the forefront but
may also be designed to gather
information or scan your system
in the background.
however producing a hardcopy of your spec's
now is a vital tool for comparing spec's
at a later time for troubleshooting.
I know how to backup my .pst files with all information.
But how do I backup my email accounts (pop3) with the information about
servers, passwords and so on.
