Office 2003 - Cannot install Security Updates MS07-002 and MS07-003

Hello group,
i need help with a security update problem i cannot fix by myself.

WIndows XP SP2 en-us with MUI and german language support. Office 2003
SP2 en-us with german language pack. All security updates installed up
to MS06-078.

Since i started updating the computers i am responsible for (over
1500) i have around 80 clients which do not install the MS security
updates MS07-002 (Excel KB925257) and MS07-003 (Outlook KB924085). I
installed them via a small starter from login script which works very
well and checks mainly the version of files to ensure update has been
applied. But now i see the above mentioned clients which repeatedly
will not install the two office updates.

For example: Excel.exe has the version 11.0.8105.0 before install.
After install of MS07-002 it should read as 11.0.8117.0. I install the
security update manually and get the info "... this patch has already
be applied or is part of another package which has been applied ...".
I check the version of Excel.exe and get 11.0.8105.0 as before. I have
tried to use the /n:v parameter but with same negative result.
Because i did not find uninstall information for these updates i try
the registry. Under

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Userdata
\S-1-5-18\Products\904011...\Patches i found the 969550A... which
seems to contain installation informations for the KB925257 update. I
renamed this key and tried again. Guess what ? Exactly :"... this
patch has already be applied or is part of another package which has
been applied ..."

Same with MS07-003 and Outlook. Maybe someone can give me a hint or
two where to go.

- How can i check if an office update has been installed beside the
file versions ?
- Is it possible to perform a force reinstall of the updates ?

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thomas
