Office 2003 Can't add News to the GO button!

I am trying to add News Reader to Outlook 2003 per MS Help. It said
to go to Tools and Options and then to customize the tool bar. Every
time I open the Customize window Outlook locks up!

Any ideas?

Thanks

The option is available when you set Outlook as your default newsreader in
Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs. When you start Outlook or
Outlook Express answer "No" if it asks you wether to set it as default
newsreader so it is handled correctly by the Internet Options

Find and rename outcmd.dat and see if that stops outlook from locking up
when you customize.
it's in a hidden folder found here: C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Roady -
The only choice for News in the Control Panel is Outlook express.
Started Outlook Express and said no to making it the default Mail
client but did not ask about being the default news reader.

Diane - did what you said but it still locks up..

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Ron
