Office 2003 Create New Document/Open Document Missing from Start M

Ever since I installed OpenOffice on my systems I have noticed that the
Create New Office Document and and Open Office Document options has
disappeared from my Windows XP Pro Start Menu. I have seen this activity on
two machines. Is there a Registry hack that fixes this?

Dont know about registry hack, since they are merely shortcuts, but there is
info on MS site on how to intsall / reinstate them
