Office 2003 e-mail accounts -- import/export?

Brian

I'm using the Office 2003 60-day trial and in the e-mail account
section, there is no option to import/export the accounts? WTF?
Is this located somewhere else now? I can't find it. Any tips?

That option has not existed in Outlook for at least 2 versions now.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Brian asked:

Well, that sucks. Is there a workaround? I have a lot of accounts
that I'd rather not set up again manually... or do I have to? :(

Perhaps it would help if you explained more about what you want. Both my
Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express have File, Import options to import mail
account settings. Last time I installed Office on a new computer, when I
started Outlook for the first time, A message opened asking if I wanted to
import accounts from Outlook Express. When upgraded from Office XP to
Office 2003, the Outlook mail and news accounts were maintained.

You may want to try opening Outlook Express and using File, Import Mail
Account settings and see if your current Outlook 2003 accounts will be
imported to Outlook Express.

I want to import some previous (unused) Office mail accounts into this
new Office 2003 that I'm trialling. They were not auto-imported because
they weren't being used in Office 2000. I have about 14 of them, stored
on a backup CD. Not too many, I know, but still a major hassle to type
in the names, servers, timeouts, ports, etc.

Outlook Express has nothing to do with it. Trying File -> Import Mail
Settings doesn't work because Office 2003 says no accounts were found,
and it doesn't give me the option to browse to them. :(

You should be aware, if trialing OL2003, that an OL2003 format pst cannot be
opened in an earlier version of OL. Should you wish to revert.

I backed up my old PST file first. ;)
