Office 2003 error messages

Hello,

I'd like to get help with a MS Office 2003 issue. I recently installed (and
then uninstalled) two programs (Inkscape and Artweaver), one of which must
have caused the issue.

When I launch Microsoft Excel or Word, the following message comes up:
"Microsoft Excel [Word] can't load speech recognition files. This feature is
not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?"

When I lauch Outlook, most recently the same message came up. However,
every time before this, Windows Installer launches, and then gives a 1706
error message: "Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. Check
your connection to the network, or CD-ROM drive. For other potential
solutions for the problem, see: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office
11\Setup.CHM"

After I click "No" for each error message, each application opens after some
wait; however, I shouldn't be getting these messages.

I was not able to do a system restore to any of the previous restore points
in trying to restore my computer to a previous state. I tried to use RegCure
as well, but didn't fix it. I found a "Speech Engine" folder under
C:\Program Files\Common Files, but I don't know if this is the correct place
for this folder, but the solution may be something I haven't even thought of.

All help will be appreciated.
