Office 2003 How many installs

How many of my home computers/laptop can I install office 2003 small
business edition? Will it allow me to install on all my computers?

You can read the End User License Agreement that applies to your copy of
Office by starting Word, then clicking on Help | Microsoft Word Help |
Contents tab | click on the + next to "Microsoft Word Help" to expand
the topic, and select "End User License Agreement" from the list of
topics. In the EULA, there will be a section entitled "General License
Grant to Install and Use" that says how many computers (and what types
of computers) you can install your copy of Office on.

I do not have it installed. I currently have Office 2000. I was wondering
if I should upgrade. Don't want to upgrade if it will prevent me from
installing on all my computers.

Do you have it installed on one machine already? If so, you need to open
Word and type EULA in the Help box. You should get a Help file with the
EULA (End-User License Agreement).

If you do, you'd better do it by this weekend - Office 2007 comes out on
Tuesday and if you have older computers, it will run as slow as molasses.

BTW - retail versions say 1 desktop, 1 laptop, used by the same person,
never run at the same time.

In that case, check the link I posted. Here it is again.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA102103671033.aspx?pid=CL100605171033
It goes to the online versions of the 2003 EULAs. Small Business is
listed -- I checked before posting it the first time.

If you purchase retail, as JoAnn mentioned, you should be able to install on
one desktop and one laptop -- not to be used at the same time. So no, you
can't just buy one copy and install it on all your computers. But you really
should read the EULA to be sure.

I'm sorry, I did read the EULA. I guess I didn't make myself clear. I was
wondering if it would LET you install on more than 2 computers or if on the
3rd install, it would not let the program install. Hope I made that a
little clearer. :)

I believe you'd have to call to activate it.

Since that would be a violation of the EULA, it would not be allowed. You'd
have to call to activate it and then try to come up with a convincing story
about why you're trying for that third activation.
