Office 2003 install over Office XP causing problems

H

heggers

I am currently trialling out office 2003 pro on a number of machines
in the office. I have installed Office 2003 as an upgrade over Office
XP and as administrator everything works fine.

But when an end user logs in (uses roaming profiles) shortcuts for
Office XP remain and Office XP reinstalls alongside Office 2003. I
have tried removing all XP shortcuts form their profiles but something
keeps triggering the XP install off i.e graphic file associations etc.

This is getting highly annoying, has anyone come across this and found
a solution for it?

Regards,
heggers

Hi!

I've been facing a similar problem in my office regarding upgrading Office
XP to Office 2003. What you need to do is this that you completely remove
office xp first and than install office 2003 and than it would work
absolutely fine.
