Office 2003 Install with 2003 Beta?

Do we have to remove the Beta before installing the retail version?

IN previous versions of Office it would detect the pre-
release and ask to remove it before continuing the
installation. You probably don't need to but Its probably
a good idea. The process does not remove any data files
of Outlook files. Either way is fine.

When I ran through it the program detected a beta version and forced its
removal.
